oqta terms of use
by using oqta, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: May 2026
What OQTA is
OQTA is a native iOS client for OpenRouter. It helps you chat with AI models, manage local conversations, use optional tools, and keep your API credentials on your device.
OQTA has no chat backend. Chat requests are sent directly from your device to OpenRouter and, where relevant, downstream AI providers.
Third-party services
OQTA depends on third-party services that you choose to use, including OpenRouter, downstream AI providers, Apple and iCloud, and optional LinkUp search.
You are responsible for following their terms, privacy policies, billing rules, usage limits, and acceptable use policies.
Payments and credits
OQTA does not sell OpenRouter or LinkUp credits.
OpenRouter, LinkUp, Apple, and any downstream providers handle their own billing, pricing, credits, refunds, and account rules. OQTA only helps you connect to those services using credentials you provide or authorize.
Your credentials
You are responsible for keeping your OpenRouter token, optional LinkUp API key, Apple account, and device secure.
OQTA stores OpenRouter and LinkUp credentials locally in the iOS Keychain. I do not receive them and cannot recover them for you.
Your data and content
You are responsible for the prompts, files, links, audio, images, tool inputs, and other content you use with OQTA.
When you initiate AI processing, chat content, context, responses, attachments, audio or transcription requests, media generation requests, and model or tool settings will be sent from your device to OpenRouter and downstream providers.
If you enable LinkUp, search queries, URLs, snippets, tool inputs and outputs, and relevant chat context may be sent to LinkUp.
If you export or share data from OQTA, you are responsible for what you do with that exported copy.
AI output disclaimer
AI outputs can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, biased, unsafe, or unsuitable for your situation.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them. Do not use OQTA as a substitute for medical, legal, financial, professional, safety, or emergency advice.
Acceptable use
You agree to use OQTA only for lawful purposes.
You may not:
- reverse engineer the app
- copy or resell the app
- use OQTA to violate applicable law
- use OQTA to violate OpenRouter, LinkUp, Apple, or provider terms
- use OQTA to generate, process, or distribute content you do not have the right to use
Availability and changes
OQTA may change over time. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed.
Paid features, subscriptions, or other paid offerings may be introduced in the future. If that happens, these Terms of Use may be updated to cover the new paid features and related payment terms.
Third-party services may also change their APIs, models, pricing, availability, policies, or performance. OQTA may stop working with a third-party service if that service changes or becomes unavailable.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
OQTA is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for:
- loss of data
- lost credentials or third-party account access
- third-party billing, credits, outages, policy changes, or provider decisions
- inaccurate, harmful, unavailable, or unsuitable AI output
- indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
If the law allows a limitation of liability, the maximum liability related to OQTA will not exceed the amount you paid for OQTA in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
I may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If I do, I will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of OQTA after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes will be handled by the courts of the Netherlands, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
