oqta does not sell model credits or run a chat backend. chat requests go from your device to openrouter and the model providers you choose.

local-first by design

chats, folders, artifacts, tool history, and preferences live on your device. optional icloud sync can sync selected non-private data through apple. api keys, private chats, consent state, attachments, generated media, and audio are not synced by oqta.

third-party services

openrouter, downstream model providers, apple, and optional linkup search have their own terms, privacy policies, billing, and retention rules. oqta shows the connection clearly, but those services control their own systems.
